We offer flexible learning at Dance2advance to cater to your individual needs. Your course can be fitted around other employment, childcare, dance contracts etc. Our course takes place on weekdays following school term times (33 weeks) over 2 or 3 years. Classes run between the hours of  9am and 2pm.

 

 

  • Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE ) qualification in Modern Theatre, Tap and Imperial Ballet with an option of adding Classical Greek. This qualification is on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) with a credit value of 120.

      

      

 

 

 

  • EXTRA TRAINING in analysing teaching methods and teaching practice;

  • DAILY DANCE CLASS in a variety of styles aimed at increasing current skills and fitness and assisting with choreography required in the DDI/E units;

  • WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS to enhance trainee teachers' knowledge base and to give tasters of career path/ employment options e.g. Rhythm tap workshops, working with special needs, specialising in pre-school dance.

Unit 1 - Safe Dance Practice (15 credits at Level 3)

Unit 2 - Observation, Assisting and Teaching Practice (30 credits at Level 4)

Unit 3 - Vocational Graded Examination in Dance: Intermediate (28 credits at Level 3)

Unit 4 - Dance Practice (30 credits at Level 4)

Unit 5 - Child Development (17 credits at Level 4)
